Original framed oil on canvas (25.5 × 21 cm painting /28.5 × 23 cm framed)) A close up of an Australian Magpie, focussing on its wise and knowing amber eye. I have been quite fixated on painting magpies especially with the nuanced shades of black (which I have painted in blues and umbers)
